St. Paul Police: Man shot and injured his girlfriend before fatally shooting himself

St. Paul Police are investigating an incident in which a suspected gunman reportedly shot and injured his girlfriend before shooting himself, resulting in his death. At 3:46 p.m., police were called to an incident on Arkwright Street where a woman told 911 her boyfriend was threatening to shoot her. Before police could make it to the woman s location, the man reportedly shot the woman and then shot himself When officers arrived, they found the injured woman outside of an apartment complex. Officers provided her with first aid and took her to the hospital for treatment. Her injuries are considered non-life-threatening. Inside the apartment, police said they located the man, who was also suffering from a gunshot wound, which police believe was self-inflicted. The man was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. St. Paul Police said they are still investigating.
